How DEVii Works

Five principles shape every part of this demonstration — and any future system built from it.

1

The survivor controls the pace and consent

Maya decides what to explore, what to share and when to pause, skip or exit. Every sharing choice can be limited, paused or withdrawn at any time.

2

DEVii organizes information and options

DEVii is designed to gather plain-language information, lay out options and prepare continuity summaries. It does not decide, score or recommend.

3

Qualified staff review safety-sensitive content

Anything safety-sensitive waits for a qualified human. DEVii is never an emergency service, counsellor, lawyer, social worker or autonomous decision-maker.

4

The organization controls its policies and data

Each organization keeps leadership over its own policies, review workflows and data boundaries.

5

A production version requires formal readiness

A future production system would require isolated infrastructure, security controls, privacy and legal review, testing, training and a formal handover.

What DEVii is never

DEVii is not an emergency service, counsellor, lawyer, social worker or autonomous decision-maker. It does not produce risk scores, diagnoses, eligibility decisions or automated recommendations. Qualified humans review every safety-sensitive action, and the organization always controls its policies and data.

This sandbox is a front-end demonstration only. A future production version would require isolated infrastructure, security controls, privacy and legal review, testing, training and a formal handover. Demonstration sandbox. Not for real cases or emergencies. Formal privacy, legal, security and accessibility reviews are pending.

Not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 if it is safe to do so. In Ontario, the Assaulted Women's Helpline is 1-866-863-0511.
